J/80 #484, 2002; carefully kept; for sale

• Message ASAP if you want to see the boat in the water
• Always a fresh water boat
• Last raced about 5 yrs ago; lightly used since
• Factory bottom; VC17m bottom paint
• forward hatch is cracked but still works and there seems to be no significant water intrusion
• one bent stanchion; one ding on the rudder just below the paint line from an engine; likely a couple of other minor dings I’m not aware of
• serious mooring horn cleat installed on the bow
• spin-lock cleat on the mainsheet so it is trivial to ease even when under high load
• spinlock tiller extension w/round grip in perfect condition;
• jib sock, mainsail cover, tiller cover in excellent condition though zippers aren’t as smooth as they used to be
• added jib halyard winch on cabin top
• no instruments but paddle wheel thru hull and depth transducer for original TackTick Sailmaster
• 4HP OB (4-stroke Yamaha, 2003); transom engine mount extension professionally added
• Triad Trailer used only for winter storage; never travelled with the boat; pads were replaced but otherwise nothing done to it
• Hall spars (original)
• Furler replaced 2015 (Harken unit 0 mark IV)
• Sails: 3 mains, 2 jibs, 2 spinnakers. At least 1 plus set should be serviceable for practice or mid-pack club racing probably not for competitive circuit racing

​We are a non-profit community sailing club in Berkeley, California, and have a J/80 in our fleet. As a primarily instructional club, we go through sails quickly. We are looking for donations of old sales from the fleet. We are a registered 501(c)(3) so the donation would be tax deductible, and you get to decide the value (we can). It can be a good way to get some money back on old, tired sails. We are in need of all sails (mains, jibs, spinnakers).
